Giant Eagle Pharmacy is a Retail and Specialty Pharmacy network that provides care annually to 2 million patients and customers and dispenses 25 million prescriptions at 212 locations in five states.

Patient safety is our top priority. And with our ongoing focus on innovation and operational efficiency, our pharmacists can spend more time with their patients, which leads to even better health outcomes.

Last year, we increased our prescription fill by more than 50% at our Central Fill Operation. Enhanced computer software, scan technology and robotics continue to improve the safety, quality and productivity of our work. Through Central Fill, workflow and data sharing, we: reduce the overall prescription fill time; free up more time for clinical services, patient care and customer interactions; and improve the overall experience for our Team Members, patients and customers.

Our Clinical Call Center, which serves as a central support to all our pharmacists and retail locations, provides patient assistance, adherence and compliance, as well as a proactive approach to medication therapy management. We have 20 Regional Clinical Coordinator Pharmacists whom provide clinical oversight in all regions.

Additionally, all our pharmacists are immunizers and are trained to perform Medication Therapy Management (MTM). Our pharmacists and technicians serve patients and the community in many ways, including through our robust vaccination program. More than 100,000 vaccinations are administered annually. And, in 2017, Giant Eagle’s vaccinations increased by 45%, and we offered more than 595 onsite employer vaccination clinics.
